Have Courage During Trying Times- Do Not Depart From God

"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us." - (2 Corinthians 1:3-7)

Wow! 2021 and we are still here.
I can not believe this is my first post of this year.
I guess I was motivated enough to post today.

We thank God sha...*in my Nigerian voice*

Anyway enough about me, I just want to use this moment to encourage you all
during these trailing times. Although things are getting better we are still in a pandemic and
in need of God's help and support daily.

This pandemic has really taught us that life is not always going to be smooth sailing. Even the bible says in life we will experience life situations and "trails." Trails may come in the form of a crisis, a sudden illness, the loss of a loved ones, or some drastic change in life or in this case COVID. And honestly it is hard to feel God's presence during these difficult times and some of us have gone to the extent of thinking God is angry at us and He has left us. But in reality God does not allow us to experience trails because He wants to see His children suffer. Sometimes we have to face these difficulties in other for us to grow within our faith and selves; to learn to live by faith, not by feelings or emotions.

That is why I advice you all to take some moment to look up the following passages to see the role trails play in our lives and in each passage you will notice that God has always kept his promise to be with us during these times of trouble.

1. Trials Sharpen Our Faith. Hardship develops our Character and purifies our faith (see 1 Peter 1:3-7)
2. Trials Help Us Comfort Others. Experiencing suffering deepness our compassion for others who suffer (see 2 Corinthians 1:3-7)
3. Trails Are Survivable. We must keep our eternal perspective though the tough times (see Corinthians 4:7-18)
4. Trials Test Our Foundation. When we ground our lives in Christ, we can weather any storm (see Luke 6:48-49)
5. Jesus Is With Us in Life's Storms. We are never outside of God's watchful eye and his abiding presence (see Mark 4:35-41)
6. God Gives Hope to Our Troubled Hearts. We can have peace of mind in the middle of our greatest trails (see John 14:1-4)

With that said I am going to leave you all with my favorite bible verse,
"This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Love You
