I Am A MESS, but God Isn't

"All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all." - (Isaiah 53:6)

Thoughts Of The Day: It's amazing how we can all come together as one and worship God even in the midst of what we are going through.

As I stand and praise God at church this morning I could not help but listen to the beautiful voices of the people around me. What a blessing to be among those people who are not ashamed to give thanks to God no matter where I am in my life. It was almost like I could hear the angels of God singing along with us all. I have never in my life heard something so beautifully in sync. I was left with nothing but chills going through my entire body. In that moment I realized that life might not be perfect, but the God I serve is. Being in the presence of the Lord made me see my imperfections for what it truly is. My imperfections is what makes me more real in the presence of the Lord. Not having to fake around Him or pretend to be someone that I was not made me more confident in my walk with Him. God saw me for who I truly was.I could tell that he appreciated and loved me more even with the messes I have made through out the years. This New Year might be a mystery to all of us, but it is also a year of purpose. The difference between who I was last year and now is that in the midst of my mess I can call onto God. Believe it or not I use to find it hard being in the presence of the Lord God years back. Matter of fact the character Isaiah reminds me of how I use to be.

"Then I said, "It's all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the LORD of Heaven's Armies."- (Isaiah 6:5)

When I would have deep moments with God I would feel unworthy, but I then realized that it was normal to feel that way because He is a perfect God. Also, I quickly realized that through such feeling I still had the right to seek His help and advice in everything because I was his daughter. I had to learn to sum up the courage to call onto Him because If I did not I would make a bigger mess out of life. It is through our mess we find God.

"Then one of the seraphim (angel) flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, "See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgive," - (Isaiah 6:7)

The way God responded to Isaiah was so beautiful. God knew Isaiah was a sinner, but he removed the guilt he felt and forgave him for his sin.

When we invite God into our mess he is happy to help us through it, but we have to realize that God's ultimate goal is to give some meaning to our mess. God never wants to waste a mess! What I am saying right now might sound funny to some but it is true. In fact our greatest mission in life will come from our messiest mess. We can use our mess to impact others through their mess. We all have a mess, but at the end of the day we have a story to tell through that mess.

Question Of The Day: What will you do with what you have gone through?

Through all that you have been through you have to be willing to share your experience with the world and stop making your life experience a secret. Cause you never know what life you might help or save through what you have been through. The mess that you are facing today could be what God wants to use to prepare you for your purpose tomorrow. So do not resist it! Stop regretting! Stop hiding! Embrace those experiences and use it to help others. God never wastes a mess, he turns it into a message and gives it meaning.

Remember, through it all God still lives within us.

    1. Guest Post is when you allow a guest to post on your blog. Usually among bloggers. And also I allow you post something on my blog. On any topic. I'll publicise your post and your blog. Vice Versa 😉

  5. Adeola.
I hope this finds you well. Have you considered tackling a low level novel about the end times? My book is my gift to God to bring an awareness to what can, might, will, happen. It is funny, romantic, hopeful. It has more heart than most writing because it is written from the perspective of a writer once riddled completely with schizophrenia. Please consider a review or interview. Thank You! David Lopez.
